Throughout the programme selected theoretical studies will ensure you remain a world-class finance professional able to offer functional excellence answers to your current and future working challenges.

On-the-job training
The core part of the programme is on-the-job training. During the 2-year programme you will rotate between two different positions designed to excel your professional and personal develop through ever increasing complexity and business impact. When starting in either position you will be presented with a learning description informing you of the expectations and objectives you will be asked to meet during the coming year. You will have a continuous dialogue with your manager discussing your progress in line with the objectives. In doing so, particular competency gaps will be addressed and closed through various courses all matching your particular learning needs.

International business cases
You will be offered the chance to create and maintain an international network within the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group through modules focusing on exploiting your theoretical and practical knowledge to find solutions to complex business cases. The case studies will take place at the head office in Copenhagen or in one of our offices abroad. Common to the cases is a business need for top of the class analysis of business development opportunities in one or more of our core business areas. You will be working together with fellow programme participants enabling you to create positive synergies combining your individual experiences.

During your analytical work you are offered a unique chance to share your ideas and findings with top executives from the business and potentially become the one creating a solution that will be implemented and lay the foundation for business activities within the Group.

Further training
In the dynamic business setting of the 21st century knowledge quickly becomes outdated or at least in need of upgrading. Individuals striving to always be at the forefront of financial development trends will call for continuous input from the academic world. For this reason the programme includes ongoing training selected to underpin your continued professional training. It may even result in you obtaining internationally recognised certifications (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) documenting your skills.
