Internship interview

If you have been invited for an interview (either in-person or via telephone), congratulations! Your written application has been approved and the recruiter is eager to get to know you.

Treat your internship interview as if it were a job interview. Make sure you are on time for the interview, ask questions about the company and the internship. Also make sure that you have done your homework on the company, it demonstrates your interest and motivation. Finally, it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed.

An internship interview differs slightly from a job interview because:

- you have less (work) experience, so you will need to focus more on your education and your energy/motivation

- you will need to focus more on your future: internships prepare students for the future, so show you are serious about your education and future career, and explain why this particular company assists you in your goals.
