| Description: |
The International Graduate Program (IGP) is designed to strengthen your core competencies in preparation for an international career with Infineon, one of the leading semiconductor companies.
You will go for an intensive eighteen-month voyage to discover the Infineon world.
Active Membership
We will design the 12-months active membership phase most beneficial and suitable for you. Our IGP structure is highly flexible and allows a maximum number of 3 assignments which could vary in length (3-6 months). At least one of them is abroad and one can be spent in an area different from the target function.
Transfer Phase
In this 6-months phase you are already working in your target department and receiving additional IGP mentoring and training opportunities as well as offers for IGP alumni.
Training on-the-job
An important part of your future career is a strong professional base. A fundamental idea of the International Graduate Program is “learning by doing.” Through different assignments, you will be offered the opportunity to gain in depth-knowledge in a comparably short period of time.
Assignments
The International Graduate Program is individually designed for each graduate – depending on the business needs of your target department and your interests. You receive a roadmap that defines the location and responsibilities for each of your assignments. In each assignment you will work on your own project. Due to the high flexibility of the IGP structure the duration of the assignment can vary between 3 and 6 months.
Off-the-job training
The target of the International Graduate Program is to provide you with different perspectives and to prepare you for a challenging career with Infineon. This journey needs to be well-planned and includes extensive on-the-job training. We have also identified several general training courses that we believe are essential, such as:
* Project management
* International team building
* English presentation skills
* Basic communication and conflict management
Cross-Functional Project
We believe that being proactive is one of the most important values for a career with Infineon and the International Graduate Program. Initiated by the first IGP group, every generation defines a project relevant to Infineon to work on in spare time. Past IGP generations, for example, worked on "Managing Diversity", “Corporate Citizenship” or “Make the Chip visible”.
Network Meetings
We want to give you the opportunity to create and develop your own network of IGP colleagues as soon as possible. This is supported by our network and alumni meetings. They will give you the chance to meet your IGP peers, share your experiences, and learn from each other. These meetings are combined with off-site training.
Target Area/Function
Your journey over the 18 months will be defined in your individual roadmap. One specific organizational unit will be your target area that will welcome you after the International Graduate Program ends, provids your target function as well as a Professional Mentor who will accompany you during the IGP journey. |
