Description: Start your future today. This fast-track, two-year programme is your ideal way to learn the ropes of working at Carlsberg and gain international experience on projects both at home and abroad.

Shape your future – in good company
Together, you and your manager will create a unique job for you in one of Carlsberg’s many companies. From there, your manager and mentor will support you as you tackle challenges that mean real business to Carlsberg. Doors and minds are always open at Carlsberg, so you’ll quickly feel like a part of the team.

Learn the Carlsberg brands inside and out
During the programme, you’ll work for at least one period of four to six months in a Carlsberg company in another country. You’ll design the position yourself, creating a job that will increase your international experience exponentially. You’ll also attend four workshops in different cities around the world, where you, your fellow graduates and Carlsberg management will address some of the company’s key business challenges.

Your career at Carlsberg starts when you’re ready
We think of our graduates as long-term staff – right from the very beginning. So your career at Carlsberg doesn’t start after the programme. It starts on the very first day you join us. To be sure we get the best candidates, our recruitment is flexible. You can apply any time. Check out your local company website to find out more about the recruitment process.
More information: Frequently asked questions

Is this a salaried position?
Yes. Your salary is determined, and paid, by the local Carlsberg company that employs you. Those local terms govern your employment for the duration of the programme.

What training does the programme offer?
In addition to on-the-job training and constant coaching by manager and mentor, you’ll attend four workshops dedicated to sharpening your business skills.

Are there any other partners involved in the training?
The workshops are organised by Carlsberg Group Human Resources, often in collaboration with external experts. You can expect to meet and work with Carlsberg’s senior managers during the workshops.

Where will I stay during my international placement?
Carlsberg will help you find appropriate housing. Your rent will be paid while you are abroad, as will your travel expenses to and from your placement, but you’ll be responsible for food and other expenses.

Can my spouse/partner and children join me on the international placement?
Of course. However, you and your family are responsible for arranging any necessary employment, education or childcare during your stay.

How many graduates are there at any one time?
Between 15 and 25, but the number varies since admission to the programme is rolling.

Is there a graduate ‘community’?
Graduates have a dedicated area on Carlsberg’s intranet with message boards, discussions and space for information sharing. And of course, the four international workshops are great community building and networking opportunities.

How easy is it to move from graduate to permanent position at Carlsberg?
From day one of your employment you are in a permanent position. If you during the programme change your position and/or department you are still a part of the programme.

Can I choose the business area I will work in?
Your way into the programme is through a specific job in one of our departments. Once you are hired you and your manager are the main designers of your programme. Of course, your assignments have to make business sense for Carlsberg and career sense for you.

How will I be evaluated?
You’ll be evaluated in the same way as all Carlsberg staff. Annual performance reviews by managers and Human Resources and project performance monitoring along the way. You’ll also have a chance to evaluate the programme, including your assignments, international placements and workshops.

Can I work in any business area – commercial, production and distribution?
Yes, you can work anywhere in the business as long as there’s a real business need and a real opportunity for career development.

Can I rotate from one business area to another during the programme?
Yes, as long as there is a real business need and a real opportunity for career development.
