Algorithm A* is looking for assistant teachers for 2018-2019 academic year to co-teach on A-level and GCSE programmes. We are looking for assistant teachers in the following subjects: Biology Chemistry History Economics Geography Literature Mathematics Physics What’s the job You will be required to teach on A-level and GCSE programmes along with an experienced Algorithm A* teacher. You will start by observing classes and peer teaching moving to more independent teaching towards the second half of the academic year. You will be involved in face to face and online teaching. Your contract will be for September 2018 – May 2019. You will be expected to co-teach up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. You will also be involved in preparing for classes, marking students’ assignments, preparing materials for online courses. You may also be involved in online tutorials. Requirements - BA in a required subject taught through the medium of English - Awareness of A-level and GCSE qualifications - Native speaker of English (or confirmed C2 level) - Confident computer user - Experience of learning or tutoring online will be an advantage - Teaching experience and/or qualification will be an advantage - International experience will be an advantage Remuneration: Algorithm A* will provide: - Appropriate visa - Flights to/from Moscow - Accommodation - Monthly salary - Induction programme - Professional and logistical support throughout the year Those who successfully complete a year as teaching assistants will have an opportunity to continue working for Algorithm A* as full time teachers.
