About the company
China Normal Foreign Teachers Center (CNFTC), is a national administration and research institute with the authority from the China Education Ministry and Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau, P.R. China, that is the official organ under the central government and it is in charge of all the foreign people who work in China in the area of technology and teaching. We are mainly committing to the research and specifications of access and management system to foreign teachers, so that we can help more and more foreign teachers to teach in China legally in the near future, and protect their rights and interests of teaching in China. We have got over 300 public and private partner schools across China, we are responsible for our partner schools' recruiting and administration to foreign teachers.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a minimum of Bachelor's degree or be a student majored in anglistics or education from an accredited
university.
- Be mentally and physically capable of performing the specified responsibilities and duties. Must also have the
ability and willingness to adapt to Chinese culture and living.
- Meet the criteria of eligibility for the visa set forth by the Chinese Immigration Authority.
- Be no older than 65 years of age.
Job Description
A. Duties
The duties of the English teacher are carried out under the guidance of the supervisor designated by Provincial Bureau of Foreign Expert Affairs(hereinafter “PBFEA”).
The responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Leading English classes in cooperation with Chinese homeroom or English language teachers.
- Preparing teaching materials and activities for English language education.
- Assisting with the development of teaching materials related to English language education.
- Assisting with activities related to English language education and other extracurricular activities. (E.g., Judge -English speech contestants, voice record for English listening comprehension tests, conduct English conversational classes in the English camp, etc.)
B. Place of Work
CNFTC will decide placements accordingly. Participants will work at public primary/secondary schools or juniorcolleges.
4. CONTRACT TERM AND OTHER CONDITIONS

2 semesters 1.3.2010 - 31.12.2010* middle schools/junior colleges
Flexible time negotiable private schools/Training schools**
* The English teacher will get paid for 8 months excluding summer holidays. After finishing the contract accordingly, the teacher will get the remuneration for one month as the bonus.
**Sometimes positions at public schools also available.
- The teachers shall teach 2-3 hours per day, 5 calendar days per week excluding Saturdays, Sundays and
national holidays of the People’s Republic of China. Actual class instruction hours of English teachers shall
not exceed 20 periods per week. Every period lasts 45 minutes. If it exceeds 20 periods, English teachers
shall be entitled to a supplementary class instruction pay.
