Description

www.ikando.org/fca.html The FCA is a dynamic, growing organization dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art within Ghana, West Africa and Africa as a whole. The organisation provides an information resource for artists, regularly holds workshops and exhibitions, and provides a space for artists, curators and academics to share ideas on the future for African art. The organisation is based in Accra, within offices very close to the city centre. It has very close links to the international diplomatic community with Ambassadors and High Commissioners on its board, the University of Accra and to international art associations. Placements Available: * Office Administrator The role will be to provide administrative support, contribute to stakeholder relationship management, and provide creative input to the organisation of events. * Project Coordinator Set up and implement new projects with other organisations. The volunteer will be required to support the coordination projects & establish projects with other organisations. * Fundraiser The intern will be required to look at the options for fundraising, meet with potential donors (such as UNESCO and private institutions), draft fundraising proposals. The volunteers will be required to attend one weekly general meeting, usually on Wednesday afternoons from 4 pm till 6 pm. Additionally, the volunteers will be required to frequent galleries and cultural organisations in Accra, to attend occasional evening events, and represent FCA with other volunteers of the foundation. This will be a wonderful way to learn about the city and meet people. If you have skills that are not listed above but you think would make a valuable contribution to the FCA please email us at info@ikando.org. We would be happy to try and accommodate you.
