Title: Research Internship (Unpaid) Location: Downtown Madrid, Spain Deadline: Ongoing Start Date: Quarterly Commitment: Min. 1 month IED For almost fifty years, the Istituto Europeo di Design has been operating in the field of education in the disciplines of design, fashion, visual communication and management. Today, the IED is a constantly expanding international network that issues first-level academic diplomas and organises three-year courses, Masters courses, continuous professional development and advanced training courses. IED Madrid In this city, one of the most important in the world and a crossroads of European and Latin American cultures, IED develops its teaching in design in its traditional areas (Design, Fashion, the Visual Arts and Communication), while also implementing innovative areas to train professionals capable of designing interactions, services and systems that put the focus on the individual. These are professionals who are conscious of contemporary issues able to design according to environmental, ethical-social, economic and political requirements. IED REC IED REC Research and education center is a cell for forward-thinking observation and analysis where ideas feed research programs and projects all over the world. Candidate Conditions: The ideal candidate is one that is curious, critical, convincing, committed and confident One who is intelligent with a willingness to share, learn and be mindblown. Open to all-ages (16 - ∞) All backgrounds All levels of experience All professions, interests, curiosities and inspirations are welcome. Open to EU and non-EU candidates*. *Please be aware that most non-EU candidates can stay up to 3 months with a tourist visa. Stays beyond “tourist visa” limitations are subject to extended-stay or student visa requirements. These vary depending on your country of origin and the process can take time and approval is not guaranteed. Activities: Permanent Research: Compilation and critical analysis in various areas of interest Research Programs: Collaboration in the ideation and development of new or ongoing international research projects Our offer: Official internship agreement: for students who need documentation for university credits or anyone wanting official recognition of participation. Hospitality package: Help finding housing and general orientation on the process of moving to Madrid. On-site tutor: We’re all here to work as a team, however, you’ll have a point-person to help guide you. Quarterly internship: We work with interns on a quarterly basis but manage a flexible calendar. Talk to us and we can work something out. 1 month commitment: You decide how long you’d like to stay with us but we ask a minimum commitment.
