We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following qualities:
+ Recent university graduate with a minimum 2,1 or equivalent Bachelor degree class, who has ideally studied to Masters level
+ No more than 1.5 years professional work experience (excluding internships)
+ Mature, professional personality with realistic goals and good communication skills
+ Excellent language skills (fluency in English required, plus any additional languages)
+ Flexible team player with good communication skills
+ Mature, professional personality with realistic goals
+ Global thinker with a desire for new experiences and to travel and work abroad |
| Description: |
The Global Trainee Program for Human Resources & Sustainability includes four 6 month assignments: one with a Group HR function, one with an HR Business Partner, one with an HR Center and one in the Sustainability function. Because of its global nature this trainee program allows you to work in a minimum of 2 countries (Switzerland & one other) and experience both diverse work cultures and job assignments.

Group HR functions
Resourcing
ABB has a commitment to recruit competent and ambitious individuals by harmonizing recruitment and attraction processes and standards across the ABB Group, as well as help build and maintain a stronger, consistent and pervasive employee brand. The HR Resourcing team guides and oversees all of ABB Group Resourcing activities worldwide.
Remuneration
HR Remuneration provides expertise and guidance on the ABB Group’s policies and procedures regarding Reward & Recognition. HR Remuneration's primary function is to determine the remuneration philosophy of the Group, set the parameters within which executive compensation is decided and influence the standards, practices and procedures that are deployed across the Group.
Development
HR Development guides and oversees all of the ABB Group’s activities related to people development and HR processes and interfaces with the Divisional managers, other Group Function Heads and the Regional / Country HR managers. HR Development orchestrates the Global HR talent management and delivers tools and solutions for attraction, retention and development of ABB's employees. It provides the framework for supporting employees to identify, track and develop their personal and organizational competencies, knowledge and abilities.
HR Business Partners
The role of the Business HR Partner teams is to provide the respective division HR support. Primarily the role proactively aligns the ABB people strategy to the division`s business. This broadly includes ensuring that there are motivated teams realizing their full potential; making sure that there is fairness and consistency in compensation and reward. The teams also build a culture where the behaviors are based on the principles of determination, respect & responsibility.
HR Center worldwide
HR Centers are based around the world, supporting countries with their individual needs. In each centre there is a Source and Select team which deals with all aspects of recruitment; Learning and Development and Talent Management; and Compensation and Benefits teams.
